Philadelphia Flower Show
This past weekend was the busiest I've had in a while. It resulted in me falling face down on my bed Sunday night, completely exhausted but so happy. I won't bore you with the details of the many things I did over the weekend, except that I went to the Philadelphia Flower Show. I had been wanting to go for forever but had never made it there. My dear friend Jen asked me Saturday if I'd want to go. How could I not?
The Philadelphia Flower Show has been around a long time. I suppose I could dig and figure out how long, but I don't feel like it. We headed out early Sunday morning to get there before the big crowds. Our early birdness paid off, as we got parking directly across from the show. I wasn't completely sure what to expect, but I knew there would be ridiculously amazing displays of flowers.
I wasn't disappointed. Not only was the design work incredible, the plants, the art, and market place were stunning. I took a gazillion pictures, which I'm not terribly excited about. But, lucky for you, I've decided to post some here. My pictures, naturally, don't do the actual flowers or designs justice. But I've decided to post a few interesting ones anyway.

The entrance to the show

Kinda like gumdrops. Never seen anything like it.

So sorry this is blurry. This was a live statue. We freaked when she moved.

Tried to estimate how much this arrangement would be for a wedding.....

Although I hate the word succulent, I sure would love to grow some. It's this amazing?

Love the color and grandness of this tablescape

One of many sculptures made of flowers

A little closer

Her handbag

Yep. Shoes made of all flowers/plants!
Lots of dresses on display. Loved this one for it's simplicity and elegance.

Ann Boleyn. Love the red where her head should be!

Loved this art on our way out.
Thank you Jen for this super fun day! If you all are near Philly, it's definitely worth checking out. I think it's on through this weekend. Trust me...my pics don't come close to how incredible it was. And I should mention there is a TON of fun stuff to buy in the market...clothing, jewelry, gardening stuff, pottery, art, and more. I'm inspired to grow an herb garden this year and now own the sticks that will label each herb. Yee haw!
Much love to all my readers. Have a terrific day.
